Enchanted Prom

Enchanted Prom Memories is an event sponsored by the YWCA's Youth Intervention Services. The program provides free prom dresses and accessories to area high school girls who could not otherwise afford to purchase these items.

Through this project the YWCA collects new and nearly new formal wear from women, teens, and companies throughout the area. The formal wear is then distributed free of charge to local teenagers who are going to the prom.

Since 2005, the YWCA has distributed over 800 free prom gowns to teens in our community. We have also collected over 900 new and nearly new gowns, as well as formal shoes, handbags, and new makeup.

Who can participate in Enchanted Prom Memories?
The event is open to any high school student in Forsyth, Stokes, Yadkin, Davie, and Davison County who might not otherwise be able to afford prom attire. Teens determine their own financial need.
