The Gateway offers separate men's and women's sauna and steam room in each adult locker room. We also offer locker rooms for young men or women ages 15 and under and a family changing room. Each locker room has lockers for rent that members can purchase.

Aquatic Center

The Helen C. Hanes Aquatic Center is an 8 lane competitive pool with the largest indoor Water Park in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County area. This is also available for birthday party rentals. We have our own YWCA year round swim team, swim lessons, water exercise classes, lap swim, and an open area for recreational water activities.
 

Computer Lab

The Gateway has a 6-station computer lab available for community use. Access to the internet is provided through WinstonNet.

Special and detailed precautions have been taken to ensure the safety and privacy of all of our visitors to the computer lab. Free computer classes are provided routine through the public library and WinstonNet. Please inquire at our front desk for information on accessing the lab.

Cyber Café

Meet your friends or catch up on some reading while your active kids are in Gateway classes. Our cyber cafe’ area features wide screen TVs, free Wi-Fi internet, a library and a smoothie snack bar.

Gymnasium

Three AAU regulation size basketball courts are available to you in our Mary Garber Basketball Arena. Basketballs can be borrowed from the front desk. A 1/10th mile indoor walking track overlooking the courts is open at all times.

Meeting Space

You can hold your next small group meeting at the YWCA Gateway. Our multi-purpose room is ideally located along our lengthy hallway providing easy access and inspiring views. The meeting space is great for retreats, workshops and community meetings.
