Our Aquatic Center features a state-of-the-art competition swimming pool, warm water pool, family water park, and whirlpool. Other pool features:

Swim Lessons

SPLASH is an ability-based swim school program that is guided by current American Red Cross standards which focus on creating lifelong aquatic habits including water safety and swimming skills. We ensure our experienced swim instructors can spend more time with each participant, creating a more individualized learning experience for all ages! SPLASH Group Classes

SPLASH Babies

A Parent & Baby/ Toddler Swim Lesson for beginning swimmers ages 6 months to 36 months. Parents and children learn, songs, and skill practice to help children learn the beginning skills Parents MUST accompany children in the water.

SPLASH Level 1

For beginning swimmers who have had very little or no swim instruction, focusing on basic water skills.

SPLASH Level 2

For swimmers who have some basic water skills. Swimmers learn to independently float and glide on their front and back, develop simultaneous and alternating arms and leg actions, fundamentals of side breathing, and lay a foundation for future strokes.

SPLASH Level 3

SPLASH Level 4 (Swim Team Prep)

The goal of Level 4 is to refine strokes so participants swim them with more ease, efficiency, power, and smoothness over greater distances to increase aquatic fitness. Competition of Level 3 is required for registration or schedule an evaluation appointment.

Adult SPLASH

It is never to late to learn to swim! Adult SPLASH works with participants at their level to learn basic aquatic skills and swimming strokes. Participants learn to put their face in the water, float, and beginning swimming skills such as freestyle and backstroke! More advanced beginners learn to improve skills, swimming strokes, and endurance. This class helps fine tune swimmers technique so help swimmers transition to fitness swimmers.

SPLASH Silver (Swimming for Fitness)

Monthly for swimming instruction to promote proper technique for lifelong swimming. Must be able to Swim 50 Yards comfortably. $20 per month for members / $40 for potential members

Lifeguard Training

Have you always wanted to be a lifeguard? Do you want to get paid for hanging around the pool? If you answered “yes”, then now’s your chance to get a head start! Upon completion and passing of the written and skills test you will receive a certification card for Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR and AED which is good for 2 years. Sign up for our Lifeguard Training Class today!

  1. You must be 15 to take the course or turn 15 by the date of completion.
  2. Pass the pre-course swim test (requirements are listed below)
  3. Register and pay for the class before the first scheduled instructional day.

*Pre-course Swim tests will be held during the first session of the course.

 

2017 American Red Cross Lifeguard Training

Cost:$250

June 7-11

Wed-Fri 4:30-9:00pm, Sat 9:00am-5:00pm, Sun 1:00-5:00pm

June 12-14

Monday-Wednesday 9:00a.m.-6:00p.m.

This course will provide participants with a two year certification in American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR/AED. There must be a minimum of 4 participants to start the course. If the minimum is not met, participants will receive a 24 hour notice of cancellation. (refunds will be processed) The lifeguard manual is a required reference for this course, and can be downloaded from the Red Cross website at no cost. A CPR mask and case is included in the cost of this course.

Requirements for Lifeguard Courses:

Full Lifeguard Course candidates must be 15 years old before the last date of the course which enrolled. Candidates for the full lifeguarding course must pass the pre-course swim test before registration. Call 336-354-1589 ext 307 to schedule a swim test. Participants must pass all three skills in order to register for the class.

Pre-Registration Requirements:

  1. The candidate must first swim 300 yards continuously consisting demonstrating use of freestyle or breast stroke. Swimming on the back or side is not allowed.
  2. After completing the 300 yard swim, candidates must demonstrate the ability to tread water continuously without the use of their hands or arms (hands must be under candidate’s armpits) for 2 minutes.
  3. For the final skill of the pretest, a candidate will enter the water from one end of the pool, swim 20 yards and retrieve a brick from a depth of 7 feet, and return to the entry point on their back carrying the brick on their chest. The candidate must remove the brick from the water and exit the water. This skill must be completed in under 1 minute and 40 seconds.

2017 American Red Cross Certification Renewal Courses

Cost: $125.00

June 7 – 11

Wed-Fri 4:30-9 p.m., Sat 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Sun 1-5 p.m.

June 12 – 14

Monday – Wednesday 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

This course provides a re-certification for lifeguards who have not yet expired. Participants will receive a two year certification in American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR/AED. There must be a minimum of 4 participants to start the course. If the minimum is not met, participants will receive a 24 hour notice of cancellation. (refunds will be processed)

Lifeguard Review Courses:

Candidates must be currently certified in American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer. If the candidate’s certification has lapsed more than 30 days by the beginning of the review class, a full lifeguarding course must be taken, these are the guidelines set by the American Red Cross.
