Membership Information

Experience the possibilities of the Gateway YWCA at a great value.

Memberships include all the best that the Gateway has to offer for every age and stage of life. A Welcome Center representative will be happy to help you find a membership type that best suits your needs and/or the needs of your family.

How to Join

Simply stop by the Welcome Center and complete a new membership application. Please bring the required documents. It gets even easier—sign up ONLINE! Manage your own account anywhere and at anytime. Upon joining stop by the Welcome Center to receive membership card(s) and sign liability waiver.

Activation Fee

This fee is required to begin a new membership and is used to make improvements and maintain the Gateway YWCA. Members who let their membership lapse for more than 30 days are required to pay an activation fee upon reinstating their membership.

Required Documentation

In order to process your membership application we require viewing a valid identification card and bank draft information (either voided check, debit/ credit card). Additional information may be required. Ask about discounts on any Family or Adult Membership when signed up for Personal Training with ABS. This does not apply when other discounts are used or with the CONTRACT rate.

Payment Option

The bank draft process authorizes your bank to pay the YWCA automatically each 1st of the month from your checking/ savings account or drafted from your debit/ credit card. A voided check, debit/ credit card is required to start. Membership dues can also be paid 6 to 12 months in advance. The joining fee and the first month’s dues \(prorated) are required at time of joining. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

Members are responsible for ensuring that all payment information is up-to-date in our system. Members can manage their own account online. For assistance, contact the Welcome Center.

Membership Freeze

Gateway YWCA members have the ability to temporarily suspend, or “freeze” their “Standard” membership when they know in advance that they will not be using our facility due to being out of town or illness/ surgery, etc. During this “freeze” period, members do not pay a monthly fee. To ensure we freeze your account you must fill out the form on or before the 25th of any month. For detailed info contact the Welcome Center.

Membership freezes are allowed for a MAXIMUM of 3 months upon which the automated bank draft will restart and continue for the length of membership.

Memberships can not be put on hold via email.

Membership Cancellation

To cancel a membership and bill draft, you must stop by the Welcome Center and complete the Bank Draft Cancellation form. Members must complete cancellation form before the 1st of the month in order to be effective prior to the next automatic bank draft. Memberships with the 1- Year Contract will have to pay a cancellation fee- three months worth of membership type. Membership cancellations should be made with a Welcome Center Representative, not via email.

Guest Policy

Members ages 18 and up have unlimited guest passes. After the guest’s first free visit, there will be a $5.00 day-pass fee if they come with a member OR a $10.00 day-pass fee without a member.
